Materials: Hand cut MDF, enamel paint, LED, smoke machine, performer, 100 high school students, Korean teuroteu medley
Duration: 14 minutes
Place: Seoul Art Space, Guemcheon
Performed just over one month after the April 16th MV Sewol ferry disaster (when 323 high school students lost their lives) at a time when many cultural events in South Korea were still cancelled because of the disaster. Che-robic was the ‘warm-up’ event to an afternoon of artists’ performances and exhibitions at the May 29th Open Studios at Seoul Art Space, Guemcheon.
Performed in front of an audience of approximately 400 people, Che-robic was a loud, raucous 14-minute event thanks mainly to 100 high school students (the same age as those that died in the sinking of the MV Sewol) we invited to participate in this.
